We have designed, developed and manufactured FRP aero parts at our own workshop in Daito, Osaka since the early 1990s.
Design, development and manufacturing under one roof
DOOBIE is an aero parts manufacturer based in Daito, Osaka. We design our own products, build the moulds for them, and produce every part at our own workshop. We also manufacture on an OEM basis for other companies.
Our catalogue covers a wide range of everyday Japanese cars, along with a number of vans and wagons.
From the beginning we have aimed at quality at a price people can reach.

Early 1990s
Manufacturing begins
We started producing aero parts at our own workshop in Osaka.

Building the catalogue
We developed parts for the cars at the centre of the tuning scene of the time.

The Purple Speed name
Purple Speed became our best-known brand.

Selling direct by mail order
We began selling directly to owners by mail order.

We extended the catalogue to newer compacts and vans.

How our parts are made
Our parts are FRP, laid up by hand from our own moulds and finished in white or black gel coat.
We have worked this way since we started, and it suits the kind of parts we make.
Our carbon parts are wet carbon in a plain weave.
OEM and contract manufacturing
Alongside our own brands we manufacture for other companies and sellers, and have done since the 1990s.
